In order to get the most out of using SaveMySales, there are a couple things that we recommend you do.

Develop a Marketing Calendar

If you haven’t already, we recommend developing a marketing calendar with important dates to help your overall marketing be cohesive across all channels.

Your marketing calendar should act like an organizer for the campaigns that you want to run – include the date, promo/announcement, discount codes, and action items – see a basic example below.

Optimize Your Checkout Settings

Optimizing your checkout setting will enable you to capture as many phone numbers possible for abandoned checkout recovery. This will also be useful in building your subscriber list to send future SMS or MMS campaigns.

Here’s a step by step:

  1. In your Shopify Admin Panel, go to “Settings” and then “Checkout”.
  2. In the “Customer contact” section, select “Customers can only check out using email” – this will separate email and phone fields at checkout, enabling us to text more people.
  3. In the “Form options” section, make the “Shipping address phone number” field Optional – to remain compliant with US and EU regulations.
  4. Scroll down and click “Manage checkout language”.
  5. Under “Phone label” and “Optional phone label”, enter this text: Phone – Receive SMS messages from our team (msg. & data rates may apply)
  6. Scroll back up and click “Save” in the top right.

Make sure that it’s optimized correctly – go to your website checkout page and check that your new opt-in message appears in the phone field on the shipping page.
