Let’s break down the different pre-populated segments of recipients that you’re able to send messages to.
All Customers – all of your subscribers that have opted in to receive text messages – including shoppers captured via abandoned checkout recovery and the opt-in pop-up on your website.
Random Test Group – random segment of ~10% of your subscribers. This segment is great for A/B testing copy before sending a large campaign out.
Existing Customers – customers that have ordered at least once. Send messages to this segment to encourage customer loyalty and help them feel special by offering VIP deals, early access to products, etc.
New Customers – shoppers that have never purchased. Encourage this segment to order by sharing limited edition products or limited time only sales.
Engaged Customers – shoppers that have replied to a text message and have had a conversation with your brand.
Abandoned Checkout (No SMS Order) – shoppers that were captured when they abandoned their checkout and did NOT order after receiving a text.
Abandoned Checkout (SMS Order) – shoppers that were captured when they abandoned their checkout and placed an order after receiving a text.
Pop-Up Opt-In Customers – shoppers that were captured via the embedded opt-in pop-up on your website. They have already received the initial personalized message, but are ready for general marketing campaigns that encourage conversations with your brand!
Remember that these segments above are pre-populated as you continue using SaveMySales. If you have your own list of customers that you would also like to text, you are able to upload them as a CSV to build a custom segment! Learn more here.
